This covert facility served as an early warning radar system and launch site. The KGB controlled the facility, utilizing it to detect ballistic missile launches from America and to retaliate with its own missile capabilities. Strategically positioned, this facility played a pivotal role in the development of White Fire, a highly potent virus believed to have led to the demise of the very operation that spawned it.
