Diode Spool
thingiverse
I'm utilizing this design for my diode storage solution, a crucial component of my keyboard projects. The enclosure is specifically engineered to accommodate 1500 diodes. Its width measures 70mm, slightly broader than the dimensions of the 1N4148 diodes I possess. This model was printed using my CR-10 V2 at a nozzle temperature of 210 degrees and a bed temperature of 60 degrees. Support structures were employed to ensure the torus shape adhered properly during printing, as it doesn't make contact with the build plate. Users with printers capable of bridging well may be able to forego support structures altogether. An 80% infill was chosen for added strength in a functional print, although it could be reduced to 40% or 30% without compromising its structural integrity.
