Diode Bender

Diode Bender

prusaprinters

I designed this to bend several diodes at once for some of the mechanical keyboard kits I've been building. This helps keep the bends consistent so they look nice on boards where the components are exposed. It's also helpful being able to bend 12-at-once if you've got a bunch to do.

You will likely need to sand down the print depending on your layer size. I've found that after bending, the legs of the diode have just enough memory to wedge themselves in the top half of the bender. Sanding the areas between the ridges really seems to help reduce that. I suspect that if this were done on a resin printer it might not even need any post-finishing.

Printing Tips

There's really nothing to printing this. It's setup such that it doesn't need supports.

The print file is sliced for PETG.
