I created replacement coins for Dinosaur Island that will withstand the test of time. The metal coins are heavy-duty and the paint is designed to last, resisting chipping and wear even after repeated use. In contrast, the cardboard coins are incredibly durable, much like the tinfoil wrapping around a perfectly baked potato, and can withstand even the closest scrutiny. These coins solve both problems associated with the originals. The basic coins I created have the same dimensions as the metal ones included with the Extreme Edition of the game, so they can be used as direct replacements (1.75mm thick x 30mm diameter). However, after conducting test prints, I found that they felt too thin and flimsy to provide a high-quality experience. To address this issue, I created a V2 version of these coins that is 3mm thick, significantly increasing their durability and providing a more premium feel in the hand. To add an extra touch of elegance, I also designed custom edge details for some of the coins. If you're interested in printing your own set of replacement coins to upgrade your existing game with Kickstarter quantities, you'll need: 50 x $1 coins 15 x $5 coins 7 x $10 coins However, if you have access to a 3D printer and want to print exact replicas, I recommend using the "bed and go" method, which allows you to create multiple sets quickly. In fact, I always find myself running low on $5 coins during games with four or five players, so I suggest printing around 25 of them to ensure you have enough.
