Dinosaur footprint Mount Morgan A1
sketchfab
Dinosaur footprint (A1.2) from the ceiling of Australia's 'fireclay caverns' at Mount Morgan, Queensland in lake deposits dating back ~195 million years to Early Jurassic (Sinemurian) times is preserved as a track infill. The model was created using photogrammetric methods from a plaster replica made from a wax mould by geologist Ross Staines in 1954 when working at Mount Morgan. Not a lost specimen, this important find resolves decades-old misconceptions about dinosaur track-maker identity and behavior from the permanently closed tracksite since 2011.
