Dino Triceratops 3-layered-animal cnc/laser
cults3d
This 2.5D Triceratops is the newest addition to the three-layered animal family, a unique twist on the classic design since it's been extinct for about 66 million years. The Triceratops stands out as one of the most recognizable dinosaurs due to its distinctive features. The design takes an interesting approach by deviating from the standard layered system, with the neck frill and three horns being the most memorable aspects. This build was created using a desktop CNC machine by Stepcraft from 6 mm birch plywood with a 1.2 mm flute spiral-toothed bit. After machining, it required some sanding and simple assembly with glue to complete. A laser cutter could be a suitable alternative for creating smaller versions of this design. You might consider crafting an aluminum version and screwing the parts together to create a tiny key fob. For more animal designs, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/Spielsachen/Tiere.
