Dino Night Light - eyes on plate
thingiverse
I love these models! I just thought it was a bit weird that the eyes (and arm) in the FRONT STL files are not connected to anything else so you would have to glue them to prints of the PLATE models. In this remix I have moved the eyes (and arm) from the FRONT STL files to the PLATE STL files. When printing the PLATE models, I switch filament after four layers (using a .2 mm resolution) from white to black, which means the eyes are printed in black on top of the PLATE. Like Rene did in his beautiful original, I also used Tinkercad for modifying the FRONT and PLATE models. I have only uploaded the modified files, please refer to Rene's original version for the BACK STL files and the Arduino sketch. For the LED lights, I decided to simplify things somewhat. I'm no stranger to Arduino and could definitely make that work, but decided to go for a budget version and use a Maxxter ACT-LED-SU30-RGB 9 led strip, sold for €1.49 at Action in The Netherlands. This worked surprisingly well.
