A box that dings! A vastly overpowered build that uses a Pi Zero W to ring a little bell using a solenoid. You will need to print these files: - `hammer.scad` - `case_base_complete.scad` - `case_lid_complete.scad` The other files are either imported or used to position things correctly (like the bell + solenoid). Depending on the bell you use you may need to move the bell mount post. I've made it a slot rather than a hole which gives you a bit more wiggle room for small adjustments. In addition to the print you will need: - A Pi Zero W + 5v 2A power supply (micro USB) - A bell to mount on top + the screw to mount it - 4 x M2.4 screws, any length up to 20mm - 5v solenoid [(I used this one)](https://www.mindkits.co.nz/store/p/8922-Solenoid-5v-small.aspx) - A TIP122 NPN transistor, or simmilar (to turn the solenoid on/off) - An axle for the hammer to turn on - I used a small nail with the head removed - Resistors and wires You will want to remove the spring from the solenoid to place on the other side of the hammer paddle. The wiring is left as an exercise for the reader, but basically hook it up so that the pi can trigger the solenoid using an IO pin. Post-printing I also attached a small backstop for the solenoid with some foam, to make it a bit less noisy when triggering.
