DIN14 Plug

DIN14 Plug

thingiverse

This is a complete replacement for DIN 14 plug used in Atari ST, Atari PC, and Amstrad PC1512 & PC1640 computers. The plug is nearly impossible to find today. A pin diameter of 1.25 mm is required. Matching pins can be found with DEGSON DG333J-3.5 or PTR STL1350-3.5-V. The screw should measure 1.2x5 or 2x5. Pins can be sourced from https://www.conrad.com/p/ptr-pin-strip-precision-no-of-rows-1-pins-per-row-7-51350075001g-1-pcs-732191, where two are needed for a single plug. DIN14 Assembly.stl is provided as a reference only. The optimal set for 3D printing includes DIN14 Base + DIN14 Shell Shroud Long + DIN14 Grip long. There is also a "pinholder" tool that makes it easier to insert pins into the pin base. Additional versions include a shrouded shell and a longer joint between the shell and grip. The height of the "shroud" and "grip" bodies has been compromised for rigidity and 3D printing on an Ender-3 in "one at a time" mode, which limits the element's height to approximately 28 mm (gantry height). A longer overlap would provide greater rigidity but make the "shroud" body too tall to fit under the Ender's gantry.
