This is for mounting a National Instruments USB-600x DAQ to a DIN rail using off-the-shelf Phoenix DIN rail adapters (though it could easily be mounted directly to the wall or other plate). NI doesn't provide industrial mounting options for their newer USB-600x series data acquisition boxes. Additionally they moved from a standard USB connector to a more delicate USB micro connector and removed their strain relief feature. This hopes to solve those frustrations. Version 2 added relief cutouts so that the corner grips would flex from the base and be less likely to fail between the layers. It also has the benefit of self-adjusting the z-height if the support material doesn't break away cleanly.
