DIN rail mounted Wago nuts
thingiverse
This 3D print mounts wago 221 nuts securely on a DIN rail. It takes advantage of the safety and electrical security of using wago nuts to join wires, and combines that with the mechanical security and added organization of mounting things to DIN rail. Wago nuts are also widely used by the DIY community for making secure electrical connections that are less error-prone than standard twisted wire nuts. The wago nut housings hold two wago 221 nuts each, and are intended to be printed standing up, without supports. The DIN rail clip is intended to be printed seperately, on its side, without supports. The housings should then be glued onto the clip. I print with PLA, and superglue has worked very well for me. Wago nuts can then be inserted into their housings, where the levers should be free to open and close easily, and the wires should all be pointing out from the rail.Note, the wago housings are sized to hold the wago 221 nuts that fit up to 12 awg wire, not the nuts that hold up to 10 awg wire.Obviously, heat is an issue when using 3D printed parts. Please know what you are doing, respecting safety and material specs before building a terminal block.
