Here is an experimental drawing to show the positioning of the "coach side" part of LGB type couplings. The hook and eye coupling is a streamlined version of my servo-driven coupling, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1000218 but hasn't been built or tested yet and would need some fine-tuning to work as a coach coupling properly.
