Miners extracting minerals from a nearby river uncovered the fossilized remains of a prehistoric mammoth named Dima in 1977. What makes Dima's discovery so remarkable is that its internal organs were perfectly preserved, including its heart, which had remained intact for more than 10,000 years without significant decay.
