Dillon XL650 (earlier version) primer chute
thingiverse
The newer versions of the XL650 and XL750 rely on a metal bracket positioned at an angle, unlike their original counterparts that employed a plastic bracket housing the primer chute. The plastic bracket in older models contained a chute for primers falling from the priming system. On the part I received, the chute was damaged, and consulting Dillon Precision's site revealed no evidence of this earlier version. It is likely that Dillon would replace the shell plate carrier with the latest version featuring a metal bracket and secondary cup, but if you prefer not to replace the entire shellplate carrier, alternative solutions can be explored. This part was created using resin printing, which presented some challenges. To facilitate production, I did not replicate every aspect of the original design from the damaged parts. The central reinforcing ridge, which tapers in two directions, is a feature that exceeds my current Fusion 360 skills; it requires uniform thickness. Additionally, the vertical section holding the bottom catch for primer cups lacks tapering, allowing it to be printed directly on the build plate without tilting, as the bottom of the chute points away from the plate.
