Dillon to Hornady AP powder cop adapter

This is still a work in progress. At the time of this upload (1/15/18), I haven't tested it yet but in theory, it should function properly. I will be testing it over the next few days but am uploading the file so that anyone who wants to test and help refine it can. In a nutshell, Hornady doesn't make a powder cop with an audible alarm. Dillon does, but most of the hacks involve either drilling a hole in the press or grinding a notch on the side. Here's how it's designed to work - on the Dillon powder cop you remove the pin that touches the baseplate of the press, then attach the main body of the bracket. You then attach a small bolt into the top of the rod to give it the ability to adjust height a bit. Insert the rod into the bracket body, attach the bottom plate, and make your adjustments to the powder cop level indicator. I'll update this as it's tested and include pictures/video. Update 1/18/18 I have tested it and it works fine. I made a couple of modifications for better fit and durability. You will need to purchase some hardware. If I remember correctly, this is what I used: 2 - M3 bolts (about 10 mm long. One needs to have a flat base as it will need a washer) 2 - M4 washers (they didn't have M3 washers) 1 small cotter pin This design is free for personal use but not meant to be sold. If you wanted to send a few bucks via PayPal for the design (and for helping you not blow yourself up), feel free to send to ocald@sbcglobal.net. Update - I also added a rod with cotter pin holes and some vertical adjustment. UPDATE - I have run about 2k cases through it and it works perfectly once it's adjusted properly. Once the bottom plate and rod are adjusted properly, then you just need to adjust the alarm plunger that came w/ the Dillon alarm for each specific load you're using. I have run it on stations 2&3 of the Hornady LNL AP press. UPDATE 9/23/19 - I redesigned the rod to be a bit more durable. It was lasting about 3k rounds before becoming weak and flexing too much. I made it to accept an M3 socket screw at the top for fine adjustment, and takes 2 M3 brass inserts on the bottom.
