I prefer to de-cap and inspect the size of my brass before tumbling it. After that, I verify the brass dimensions using a cartridge gauge. This spacer prevents me from pushing the handle too far forward and picking up a primer at station two. Pre-inspecting the brass avoids wasting time loading with powder and bullet only to discover later that the brass is flawed or out of spec.
