Dilbert Quotes
thingiverse
Famous quotes from the Dilbert comic strip by Scott Adams displayed along with my previously created Dilbert models will be showcased here. Each character from the comic strip has such unique personalities and Scott Adams has given them such profound wisdom that I felt these quotes should be immortalized in ABS or PLA. A true Dilbert fan will easily recognize how to pair up the quotes to the appropriate character, however even if you are not a Dilbert fan, the quotes are quite fascinating. All quotes are listed in the "Building the Model" section below. Enjoy! I print with a .4mm nozzle. I've run the files through my slicer with a .5mm profile and it appears to slice well for a .5mm nozzle as well. -The text_n files can be printed in one color, however if you have the capability of pausing your printer for a color change I highly recommend it. The color change (from white to black on the text_n files) should occur after layer 3 completes for the cleanest print. If you do not have a way of automatically pausing your printer but can do it manually, simply wait for the two solid bottom layers to print and then one outline layer of the text to complete. There is no need to be exact. Assembly tips: -Each text_n file has an associated text_frame_n file that is sized to fit but still needs to be glued together. -The stand is made of two identical pieces, each piece slides from the right or left onto the frame piece. Cleaning of any residual brim or first layer squish on the inside of the stand notches is required. Gluing is not required and the stands can be swapped out and used on another sign. Special note: I have white ABS filament from different companies and noticed a tremendous difference in opacity between filaments. I never gave it much thought before but on this project the filament from eSun was far better than the other, even though they are both labeled white. See below for a comparison. So, use your discretion on what filament to use. White filament comparison (eSun on bottom) Assembly of quotes sign
