Dihedral tilt top for RCExplorer Tricopter V3 (5 degrees)
thingiverse
Dihedral tilt top for the RCExplorer tricopter V3, an experimental project. For cutting the arms in half and building a mini tricopter, this dihedral tilt top is ideal. It's inspired by David Windeståls outstanding work. To purchase the frame and required servo, visit http://www.rcexplorer.se/shop. Use M3x35 hex and a washer for the tilt mechanism, as M3x40 has been replaced with it. If using the servo horn version, install an M3 locknut and M3x30 hex screw. M3x20 hex screws are necessary for the front legs. Two M3x6 hex screws secure the tilt mechanism. Rear leg support requires two M3x20 hex screws. Tilt bottom stability comes from two M3 locknuts. NTM style and Elite style hole patterns are available, with 19mm spacing between holes, rotated 90 degrees. For a demonstration of dihedral tilt mechanism functionality, watch this video: http://youtu.be/oGvY1ehM_Vs The original tilt mechanism is sold at RCExplorer.se (http://rcexplorer.se/product/tricopter-tilt-mechanism-3d-printed/) or STLs can be downloaded from: http://rcexplorer.se/downloads/ **Instructions** Print the tilt top, tilt bottom, servo holder, and mount tops with solid settings at 0.1 layer height. The legs require customization, printing with 15% infill and a 0.2 layer height for the lightest build.
