This enclosure houses the Digitrax SP10188, an 10mm x 18mm, 8 Ohm Oval Speaker. The XL model delivers superior sound when ample space is available, while the compact version offers a significant improvement in sound quality despite its minimal size increase over the speaker itself. Although this speaker falls short of ideal performance, it comes bundled with certain sound decoders that have allowed for satisfactory use so far. A clearer image would be beneficial, but unfortunately, the provided photo captures only the back of the box as seen from within a Bachman 4-8-4 tender locomotive model. The speaker's wire hole was sealed using hot glue to prevent any potential issues.
