A necessary addition to the USB Microscope: A versatile stand that allows for accurate fine focal adjustments.\n.\nThe majority of microscopes in the market come with mediocre stands, making it challenging to focus on tiny subjects. I found this to be true when I purchased my microscope from Maplin in the UK, which led me to create a better alternative.\nOne significant drawback of the standard stand is its inability to change the angle of view. I addressed this limitation by designing a stand that allows users to point their microscope at various angles.\nThe improved design now includes a new scope holder, made available due to the help of Planet_Earth in pointing out an error and providing corrections.\n\n Improved Design Guide\nThe USB Microscope Stand was successfully printed with the following settings in slic3er: layer height 2.5mm, extrusion width 0.56mm, first layer 130%, no support required, as all components can fit perfectly within a single layer.\nThe Upright and Base parts were designed to have a honeycomb infill of 25% density, while the other components were printed with an 80% rectilinear infill.\nEssential Parts:\n2 stainless steel rods (piano Wire) - 4mm in diameter, 110mm long\n1 threaded rod, measuring 143mm in length and 5M in dimension\n2 bolts (30mm in length, wingnut attached) with a diameter of 5M\n1 end cap nut (5M in size)\n3 standard nuts (with 5M in measurements)\n4 extra-large 6M bolts and their corresponding nuts - both 30mm in length\nInstructions:\nThe first step is to print two Spine pieces along with Top/Bottom guides. These components require careful attention as there's a critical slot at the back for securing the nut with an accurate 5M dimension.\nThe Adjustable Knob has been enhanced with rapid turning properties. I successfully utilized a standard 30mm nail that had its pointed end clipped off and sealed in place using two-part epoxy glue. Ensure a seamless sliding mechanism on the holder by thoroughly cleaning out any debris, allowing for effortless rod movement through carefully pre-drilled holes if necessary.
