I purchased digital humidity and temperature sensors from Amazon to monitor the temperature and humidity levels in my PLA storage box and printer box. These basic sensors are designed to be integrated into an existing enclosure, so I created a custom one using a 3D printer. I designed two enclosures with OpenSCAD: one at a 45-degree angle for the printer box and another that is flat for attaching to the inside of my PLA storage box. Both enclosures have an open back to ensure unobstructed temperature and humidity measurements.
