I am building a 2" X 72" belt sander/grinder, and this digital tachometer will allow me to accurately measure the speed of my belt. To ensure versatility, I added a back and pivot mount that enables the device to be mounted in any position - standing, hanging or from behind. The Digital Tachometer features a push-in type attachment that ensures a snug fit on the front edge of the case. However, I found that the back cover requires a small amount of sanding to the inside edge where it attaches, ensuring a tight seal. This full coverage design prevents dust from reaching the electronics and minimizes wear and tear. A hole in the back allows cables to exit safely. The digital tachometer was purchased from eBay for its affordability and reliability.
