This 3D printable case is for my DIY Digital Microscope project mentioned in this article; it also functions as a high-end webcam. To attach the microscope to a tripod, you will need to purchase a 1/4-20 tap and print the tap handle using the provided quarter-tap-handle.stl file. Additionally, four self-tapping screws are required for mounting the SDI board. The project may also necessitate an SDI capture board like this one. Future updates will introduce a new microscope stand, while the current setup boasts excellent low light performance and quality. A $9 Chinese lens has been tested, but the $29 Fujian 50mm CCTV Movie Lens yields better results when stopped down for improved sharpness.
