The Boebot digital encoder (Parallax part no 28107) has been modeled in SolidWorks 2017 and features an integrated encoder and mounting plate, along with a precise assembly of both components. The design was achieved through reverse engineering using averaged measurements from the parts ordered for my classroom; however, there is some estimation concerning the angled LED shroud dimensions due to the need to preserve the sensor for upcoming lessons.
