Digital Display for Table Saw Fence

This is a magnetic DRO (Digital Read Out) for my table saw fence. I put the magnetic strip on the back of the table saw where it is out of the way. I ran the magnetic pickup sensor inside the fence so it some out the back and is mounted to the underside of the fence. You could also run the wire on top of the fence. DRO is from AliExpress, I got it for $75. www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832737680593.html I got the idea from a the YouTube channel Hooked On Wood where the host used a DRO on his miter saw station. See: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFOzEgkovtw The sensor mount has mounting holes, but I didn't use those. I just used double stick tape - 3M VHB (very high bond). Also, the display housing has holes to mount with screws or pockets to use magnets. I went with four 1/2 inch rare earth magnets and it works great. I had trouble figuring how to get the display to show inches instead of mm. Manual is not very good. With help of the seller on AliExpress I figured it out. Here are the steps: Press and hold F until P01 is displayed Press > a few times until P10 is displayed Press F once then Pd 0 will be displayed Press > until Pd 7 is displayed, then press F once Now you are in the section where you can set mm and inch - set to 1 for Inch (0 for mm)
