Digital Calipers to Arduino Adapter

Digital calipers are fantastic tools, but they can be even more powerful with electronic capabilities on the output line. Imagine being able to control and modify them electronically. When combined with pins, a level shifter to convert 1.2v logic to 5v, and an Arduino or other Atmel processor, you can connect your digital calipers to just about any device. I'm working on a software toolkit that will make this possible. One of the main reasons for creating this toolkit is to unlock more precise measurements from my affordable carbon fiber set of calipers. I also want to add new features that allow it to interface seamlessly with computers and other systems. The best part? The entire project can be completed at a cost of just $3 or less, making it an incredibly accessible tool for anyone.
