Diffuser Fins for Fiesta ST - Solid and Illuminated
thingiverse
Add some rice to your ride! ...Err I mean your diet. This is a set of fins to fit the diffuser on the Fiesta ST. My car is an Australian 3-door model; I'm unsure if they will fit the US 5-door model. The shape of the fins isn't perfect, but it's the best I can do at this time. There are two types: solid, which looks a bit better as the color is more solid and hollow, which includes a hole at the leading edge to allow fitment of an LED. The fins are attached by 12mm double-sided automotive tape. Mine have been in place for two months and 1000+ kilometers of driving and haven't fallen off yet... You'll need to print one center fin and four (or two, I guess) side fins. Clean the fins and the diffuser with alcohol before applying the tape, otherwise it won't stick properly. Print Settings: Printer: Malyan M180 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 15% Notes: The solid versions should be printed lying on their side; the hollow versions should be printed with the back edge on the bed and the LED hole at the top. How I Designed This: I measured the diffuser with various instruments (not 100% accurately, as it's quite difficult) and used 123D Design to make the parts.
