Differential Locker for Hobby King Rattler
thingiverse
I've uploaded the MK4 after realizing my previous thinking was in error. Printing with ABS isn't recommended. I might have slightly damaged a drive pin with the Mk2 in ABS. I'm going to see how the Mk 4 performs in PLA. After upgrading to a 3674 motor, which I know is excessive, I destroyed my rear diff gears completely. Since HK didn't have replacements in stock, I decided to install a full locked diff and avoid the issue altogether. If you're crazy enough to try similar things, strip out your diff, remove the bevel gears, but leave the pins in the drive cups/shafts. You might want to decrease the interior. This part will then slip into the middle of the diff housing, and the drive shafts/pins should fit into the holes/slots on this part. Just repeat the process with the other side. Be warned: depending on how accurate your printer is, you may need to give it a bit of a file to level out the part. Again, be warned that this is the result of pure madness. No liability is taken.
