Differential bed adjusters
thingiverse
These are differential adjusters designed specifically for Mk2B heater PCBs and borosilicate glass bed surfaces. They serve as a companion to my Mk2B Bed Mod project on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2477091. The adjusters consist of two parts: the lower part features an internal M4 thread with a 0.7mm pitch and an external thread with a 1.0mm pitch, while the upper part boasts a matching internal thread with a 1.0mm pitch. As the lower part is rotated 360°, it descends down the M4 thread by 0.7mm, causing the upper part to ascend by 1.0mm. Consequently, the net movement amounts to 1-0.7=0.3mm, allowing for very fine adjustments. The upper part includes a recess for the heater plate, which should fit snugly over the peg in the corner of the PCB. The upper walls are designed with slight springiness, ensuring that the glass fits tightly but expands slightly as it warms up. There are three versions of the upper part available to accommodate different glass sizes: 220x220x3.8mm, 220x220x3.0mm, and 214x210x3.0mm. Choose the one suitable for your specific glass dimensions. I printed mine using PETG and successfully tested them at bed temperatures up to 80°C without any issues. After several months of use, I'm extremely satisfied with the results.
