Diecast toy car lift
thingiverse
This is a working lift designed specifically for 1:64 diecast cars and toys. A gear located at the back can be turned to lift the model into the air. In addition to the printed parts, you will need two M6 bolts that are 50mm long with screw threads, along with two M6 nuts. To print the required components, you'll need to produce: 2 small gears 2 large gears 2 car lift posts 1 car lifter 1 car lift base 1 car life base bottom 1 car lift slope with support All of these parts can be printed without supports, although you may need to rotate them for successful printing. Note that the car lift slope will require a 10.1-degree rotation to print flat. To assemble the lift: - Depending on print quality, you may want to sand the tops and bottoms of the gears to make them flat. - Attach the small gears to the M6 bolts, ensuring their heads fit into the gears snugly. - Pass the bolts through the base, then secure each one with a nut screwed down tightly onto the base. - Insert the two large gears into the base, making sure they rotate freely. - Place the base bottom on top and glue it in place, taking care not to get any glue on the gears. - Position the car lifter over the screw threads. - Attach the car lift posts to the bolts, gluing them to the base while avoiding getting glue into the holes at the bottom. Be careful not to lock the gears in place. - Remove the supports from the slope. - Place the slope onto the base and secure it with glue. That's it! The lifter could potentially be made smaller using M4 bolts, but I didn't have these available in my toolbox, so it was designed for the M6 bolts I had on hand.
