The diecast mold for creating an aluminum part, known as a "corona ring," is used in electrical power transmission lines. This component is installed on insulators and reduces corona while transmitting electricity through electrical lines. I designed this model using CATIA software within the mold tooling design branch. The mold was constructed via CNC processing with power mill software. You can view the final product in the last images.
