The Tyrrell P34B six-wheeler was a Formula One racing car designed by Derek Gardner, the chief designer at Tyrrell. The six-wheel design reduced drag caused by two large front wheels, increased the total contact area of the front tires and created a greater swept area for the brake discs. Formulas One regulations now require no more than four wheels on each car.
