Die Hard Christmas Ornament with light
thingiverse
I stumbled upon this clever project on Thingiverse and decided to take it for a spin. I ended up giving it a complete makeover, slimming it down to use less filament and adding a hole in the bottom so you could insert a Christmas light where his cigarette holder is - talk about adding ambiance! It's an incredibly easy print job that doesn't require any supports. Once you've printed the box, just slap on some foil tape from Home Depot's paint section. Then, use a screwdriver to poke through the hole and create another opening in the tape as well. Next up, print off a picture of McClane on glossy photo paper - I've included one for your convenience! The perfect size is 5.5x2.5 inches, which fits snugly in the back of the box. When combined with the foil tape, it gives the whole thing an amazing 3D effect. To hang it up, simply use a ribbon and attach it to each side using more of that trusty foil tape. And there you have it - enjoy your very own Die Hard Christmas decoration! Yes, it's a holiday classic, after all!
