You know you've got a severe case of train addiction when you start repairing even the cheapest train sets because their couplings don't work, literally by design. This Dickie Toys 203748002 City Train (Regionalzug, Regio) isn't meant to navigate curves or attach to another similar train. But my son is hooked and knows that these trains usually come in pairs. So, one wasn't enough – two had to be purchased. Imagine the letdown when their couplings didn't work! Yes, it's a darkest black kind of despair. I fixed it in half an hour using Fusion 360 with two iterations and one mis-print. Let's say I spent two hours on it in total. It works well now and doesn't look too shabby. The kid is pleased.
