Dice Tower with Storage (double helix)
thingiverse
I enhanced BouncyMonkey's Yet Another Dice Tower by adding a second spiral, turning it into a double helix design. This modification creates space for dice storage in the original void of the tower. By incorporating a spring at the top, you can easily lift and spin it 180° to choose which staircase to use. The only way to empty the storage side of this version of the tower is to flip it upside-down and pour out all the dice. However, be aware that they tend to scatter everywhere during this process. To make these changes, I had to acquire some Blender skills, thanks to my OH for teaching me how to modify the original STLs. The majority of the other adjustments were made in OpenSCAD. **Required Materials:** * M5 threaded rod (length as needed) * M5 locking nut (one piece) * M5 thin nut (three pieces) * M5 washer (three pieces) * A spring approximately 10mm long and more than 5mm in diameter * A large fizzy pop bottle * Glue **Special Thanks:** BouncyMonkey's Yet Another Dice Tower GrooveDachschund's Another Dice Tower V2
