Dice Tower and Organizer (Plinko Style)

A Plinko-Style Dice Tower Designed For D&D Players The tower features an open-faced design that allows players to see the action unfold while ensuring the dice stay in place due to the angled pegs. View a demonstration of its functionality here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI64v1gKJUo During gameplay, the tower transforms into: A dice-rolling station A tray for holding rolled dice A platform for frequently used dice and miniatures A pencil holder A compact storage pocket Additional space for extra dice After play, it disassembles and packs neatly into a portable box that can store pencils, dice, and miniatures. Printing Details: Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer Model: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: On March 11th, 2017, I reprinted the organizer.stl with support, which greatly improved the top's surface finish. For optimal results, use Cura 2.4 and set the Z-distance to 0.15 for the "lines" support type. All provided STL files are oriented correctly for printing. Printing without supports yields better results when done properly. The dice tower features a sturdy 1.2mm shell with 30% infill to ensure the pegs remain strong. The organizer and case have a 0.8mm shell, which can be printed with lower infill settings. The organizer piece involves extensive bridging, but it still yields acceptable results. The top's indentations for holding dice may appear rough, yet they function as intended. Design Updates: After identifying the brittle pegs on my initial prototype, I revised the design and discovered that printing a temperature tower to optimize layer strength significantly improved the outcome. This process can be replicated by using http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:915435. To ensure proper fitment of the pieces, verify your printer's steps/mm settings for all three axes.
