Dice tower and carrier
thingiverse
You can build a dice tower that also holds your dice! Simply turn the top over to shut the door and flip the tray around, then place the tower into it. Printing all parts with the orientation they'll be assembled in works best. You may need to clean up the bottom of the "top" piece if your printer has trouble printing bridges, but that area won't be visible anyway. To assemble this project, follow these steps: 1. Smooth out any rough edges on the "door" part so it doesn't get stuck as you open and close it. Also check the openings in the main tower to make sure they're smooth. 2. Place the door into the tower by putting the short side in first - it's a bit tricky because the door is wider than the opening, but it will fit if you do it correctly. Make sure it ends up in the groove around the incline. 3. Insert the tall part of the door into the notch in the top piece. You can glue them together if you want to, but it's not necessary. 4. Press down firmly on the top and try to snap it onto the main piece evenly. 5. Open and close it a few times to make sure everything is moving smoothly. To put your dice away, simply turn the top halfway around, then insert your dice through the remaining opening and shut it all the way. There's an updated version of this design available: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3197771. It has the same specs as this one, but is textured to look like a stone block tower.
