This is a fun little print project to create your own castle dice roller that can collapse down into a small box full contained, holding your dice if you want. When gaming, drop the dice in the top of the tower and they tumble down inside, bouncing off three paddles before shooting out into the tray where the dice will be stored so they don't roll away from your game pieces. You can drop any number of dice at once, usually between 1 to 15, and you can use any type of die up to the size of a typical D20. The dice roller is about 3.8 inches wide, 5.9 inches long, and 4.5 inches tall when it's open, but only 2 inches tall when closed. When closed, it makes a completely sealed box where you can store up to 20 dice by dropping them into the top of the tower first and then closing it. To open the dice roller again, just follow these steps: pull the Rear Door out of its slot, set it aside, and take off the Slide Tray from the Roll Tray. Next, rotate the Slide Tray so it's upside down on the long axis and re-insert it onto the rails that hold the Roller Tray clear of the closed tower. After you've done all that, lift the castle up and slide the Rear Door back into place at the back to keep everything secure and stable. Now your dice roller is good to go for some serious gaming fun. Initially, assembling this fun little print project is as easy as printing the required parts in these ways: first print the Slider Tray with the merlons facing up, then print the Roll Tray so that it's open end facing upwards from one of its shorter sides. Finally, print the Tower part just like any other normal tower, in a normal orientation. After all those parts are printed and ready to go, you can begin putting everything together as follows: first take your three Dice Paddles and carefully slide them into their designated slots inside the Tower so that they're secure but easy to adjust. The largest paddle should be at the bottom slot, with the other two inserted in whatever slot works best. Now it's time for a bit of pressure testing, if you like – push the tower gently towards the side until those two dimples on either side fit perfectly into the corresponding round dimple holders that are embedded deep within the Roller Tray. Make sure everything clicks easily into place before proceeding to insert the next crucial parts: take your Guard Towers and gently drop them onto their hex blocks, taking care that each one falls exactly right – remember, if they don't seem like they fit perfectly on just any old side of this little roller tray piece, it's simply because each part has been uniquely designed specifically for a particular spot.
