Creating a 2x2-inch square on Autodesk Inventor, I then extruded it 2 inches to form a cube. To add numbers, I made 1/2-inch circles on each face, their count corresponding to the side value. Embossed 1/10 inch deep, these circles were followed by 1/4-inch concentric circles inside them, embossed 1/20 of an inch deep for gluing 3mm green acrylic dots. Using a CNC laser cutter, I cut out the circles from the acrylic and applied adhesive to attach them to the cube, resulting in a 3mm-thick green acrylic die made on a MakerBot.
