Dibirké, sheep and goats

Survey of Ennedi rock art in 3D format reveals a detailed landscape of ancient livestock scenes. Dibirké's bottom wall features Panel A, where the enhanced texture of the 3D model showcases a vibrant YRD color palette. Two large herds of sheep and goats dominate the panel, with some goats standing out among the sheep due to their distinctive carriage. A human figure stands alongside two cattle, while a central figure, likely a herdsman, rises from the middle-right section of the panel. The herdsman may have lived contemporaneously with the sheep and goats depicted on the wall. By observing the morphology of the animals, it's possible to differentiate between goats and sheep based on their tail positions; goats carry their tails erect, while sheep hold theirs pendently.
