Diatone Exorcist - Mounts
thingiverse
The stock antenna mount on the Diatone Exorcist frame is subpar: it consistently causes damage to the coax cable due to its metal composition and tendency to flip during screwing or unscrewing. Moreover, the mounting system fails to center the antenna properly, exposing it to propellers excessively. To address this issue, I created a custom mount that can be securely fastened using the stock M3 screws provided with the frame, allowing for easy mounting of the antenna at an upward angle (see accompanying images). For added stability, I recommend securing one end of the antenna with zip ties and applying a small amount of glue to prevent movement up or down, especially after a crash. This particular frame required a refined solution for motor wire management. Drawing inspiration from the Passe Cable design by Stef263, my custom motor wire mounts offer an easier installation process and a better fit for my specific needs. To print these accessories effectively, use flexible materials such as TPU. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this project and encourage you to share images of your creations if you decide to utilize these designs. Happy building!
