The original Diatone ET160 has a top plate design flaw that prevents most four-inch props from being used unless a longer standoff is employed, which results in the quad becoming too tall and aesthetically unpleasing. To address this issue, I created a canopy that incorporates an integrated XT30 holder. This allows the battery to be positioned above the propeller plane on top, thereby making the quad cooler. At 20mm, vertical space is somewhat limited, but it is sufficient to accommodate a four-in-one ESC, a Naze32 flight controller, and a micro FrSky compatible receiver. Ample room remains available on both the front and rear of the canopy. This results in an ultra-light build that weighs just 165 grams with a 450mAh 4s battery.
