Diaphragm Hand Pump
thingiverse
A childhood dream of mine was owning a water pump; however, I never got one, so I designed a simple pump that could potentially bring joy to other kids. To create this pump, print the base plate, cover, cylinder, handle, and two rings. Cut the diaphragm from a rubber balloon, and the valves from a thin polypropylene sheet. Attach an M6 bolt with a length of at least 65mm and a thread length of around 20mm to the handle, sawing off the head and gluing it in place. Slide the cover over the bolt and add the components one by one: nut, ring, diaphragm, ring, and bolt (refer to the section view for correct orientation). Tighten the nuts. Then, attach the valves over 8 M3x40mm bolts on the base plate, followed by the cylinder, diaphragm, and cover, securing with nuts. Attach hoses to the in- and outlets. The Creo Elements Express file is available for part modification as needed, such as for different hose diameters. Note that watertightness may be an issue; if so, add thin cardboard seals between parts.
With this file you will be able to print Diaphragm Hand Pump with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Diaphragm Hand Pump.
