Here are three uncomplicated layouts for diamond painting - just insert a regular writing instrument inside. 1. Grid Pattern - Place your writing tool on the grid at an angle, and with each stroke of the nib, pick up one grain of sparkling stone. As you continue to move across the canvas, diamonds will start to accumulate in rows. When finished, carefully remove any excess adhesive. 2. Spiral Pattern - Hold your pen vertically and place it gently inside the center hole of a spiral design. Start writing at the core and spiral outward as you fill each diamond with tiny pieces of glittering material. Continue until you've filled the entire design, then use a tool to remove excess residue. 3. Freehand Pattern - Hold your pen at an angle over the blank canvas, then draw freehand designs by applying gentle pressure while moving it across the surface. When finished, carefully peel off any remaining adhesive and gently buff the stones with a soft cloth.
