Diamond Neck Tie

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! This unique neck tie is sure to impress, made from multiple small pieces that are clipped together for flexibility and lightness. The various sections are designed in ascending order of size, ranging from five 12 mm wide diamonds at the top (60 mm wide overall) to five 15 mm wide diamonds at the bottom (75 mm wide overall). To assemble the tie, clip the pieces together in order of size, making sure the bottom-most link is cut twice so it forms a three-diamond section and a one-diamond section. These can then be attached in the middle of the section above to create the pointed bottom part of the tie. To ensure a proper fit, print five of each piece size - I found that printing five of each worked well for my slightly taller torso, but others may need more or fewer pieces. No support material is required for this print, as small 2mm long bridges make it impossible to remove the tiny amount of support material. You may need to turn off the support material option entirely. The tie's knot is designed to be secured with a 3/4 inch wide strap or piece of fabric attached to your shirt. To assemble the clips into the slots, use a pair of needle-nose pliers and you're ready to go!
