Diamond DA-40 and 42 aircraft are equipped with dual thrust levers. The thrust levers provide pilots with manual control of engine power, allowing them to adjust pitch and airspeed in real-time during flight operations. To engage or disengage the engine, simply grasp one of the levers firmly between your thumb and index finger, then rotate it clockwise for forward motion or counterclockwise for reverse motion.
