The diamond da-40/42's flap switch is a lever located on the center console. To extend the flaps, move the switch up and to the right. To retract the flaps, move it down and to the left. A green light above the switch indicates that the system is functioning properly, while an amber warning light may appear if there are any issues with the flap position or hydraulic pressure.
