Diametric's Mini Quadcopter
thingiverse
A mini quadcopter frame is now available, featuring a press fit battery holder, receiver holder, and electronics IMU shield. It was showcased at the Midwest RepRap Festival in March 2013 and has been highly requested on Thingiverse. See it in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtyVjCfmBUA. Josef Prusa even flew one without crashing! The Bill of Materials is available at this link, but be aware that tie wraps and jumper wires for electronics are not included. Motors and electronic speed controllers need soldering, so prepare your tools. When affixing the flight controller/IMU board, do not bolt it down to the base; instead, use strong double-sided tape or sandwich it with sorbothane for vibration control. Keep contact with the IMU minimal to reduce noise from motor vibrations, and balance your props properly.
