Take heed: the 2K-dials shift the reading position up by one line (36°) for better ergonomics.</p><p>The cover will only work with the dial mod, but the dial mod will work without the cover!</p><p>I've split each of both wheel types in two:</p><ul><li>dial part</li><li>wheel core</li></ul><h4>Production</h4><ul><li>The wheel cores print as in the original model.</li><li>The dials print in <strong>manual colour change</strong>.&nbsp;<ul><li>No MMU required; everything is prepared in the 3mf file.&nbsp;</li><li>There will be three times where the printer asks you to change the filament.</li><li>Just select your preferred material, and don't forget to adjust the model shrinkage scaling to your chosen filaments.&nbsp;</li><li>The characters will print first in the material change sequence.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>The dials benefit from a 0.25mm nozzle for good detail.</li><li>Using ABS or ASA for all parts will easen the assembly process by allowing to use acetone to glue the parts together. Of course, everything else that glues and bends well works too.</li></ul><h4>Assembly</h4><p>Glue each dial to the respective core by placing a small rip on the dial into the channel from the wheel core.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/264191/rich_content/3329da48-747f-486a-a621-0dea520f31f0/atz.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22764bf5b6-86a0-474f-a692-58da64c556b7%22%2C%22w%22%3A1024%2C%22h%22%3A502%7D"></figure><p><strong>Mind the correct orientation of the dial!</strong></p><p>I used a small brush to apply acetone to both surfaces, a flat surface to align both parts on one side. Finally used two clamps to fix the entire width of the dial where the ends meet.</p><p>Self-adhesive tape wrapped fully around might also work to clamp during curing.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/264191/rich_content/554d140a-9045-4a5a-9f84-afd37766ae0c/clamps.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%226d181b74-205d-4c93-9023-5f206a6af09f%22%2C%22w%22%3A1024%2C%22h%22%3A682%7D"></figure><p>Acetone needs ~24h to cure.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/264191/rich_content/9c45cd12-ca6d-48bf-9309-acb0d4515c5f/seam.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%228ea46d65-1a41-41c2-bc0d-10416c03a018%22%2C%22w%22%3A1024%2C%22h%22%3A438%7D"></figure><h4>Add-on</h4><p>A cover for the dials to focus on the relevant line. Other than Ruben's, this one focuses not on horizontal reading, but tilted up by 36° to match the dial mod.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/264191/rich_content/778d3f10-1acc-4cc7-9c23-a1ce2c0a17e0/hsng.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%221d691c43-fbc5-4665-b260-c55a528ef6d2%22%2C%22w%22%3A1024%2C%22h%22%3A565%7D"></figure><ul><li>Replaces <code><i>counter_cover</i></code>, and&nbsp;</li><li>works for four digits only.</li></ul><h4><strong>Development</strong></h4><p>Please feed back in the comments, and share your makes!</p>
