Easily clamps onto the Back of the Carriage Assembly to measure Depth. 1" SAE/Metric Digital Indicator From Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/1-inch-sae-metric-digital-indicator-93295.html Instructions: Parts needed: Dial Leveling Clamp (RP) 1- M4 X 50mm Screw (Can be longer) 1- M4 X 10mm Screw (Can Be longer) 4- M4 Washers 1- M4 Locking nut 1- M4 Wing nut 1- 1" SAE/Metric Digital Indicator From Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/1-inch-sae-metric-digital-indicator-93295.html Optional items: Replace 2 of the M4 Washers with Fender washer to distribute the load better Operation: Center Dial in the middle of the bed Zero Gauge Drive the Carriage Left 50mm then right 50mm (With your host software) Adjust the Left or right screws accordingly Measure Again Center Dial in the middle of the bed Zero Gauge Drive the Carriage forwards 50mm then Backwards 50mm With your host software Adjust the front or back screws accordingly Measure again Repeat all the steps until you are happy with your results Adjust Z endstop to bring the nozzle lower or higher I was able to achieve ±.1mm accuracy around my whole bed, which helps out tremendously with larger prints.
